Our Journey Through Code
From a small team of developers passionate about virtualization to a comprehensive learning platform that bridges theory with real-world application
The Foundation Years
What started as weekend workshops on VMware environments has grown into something we never expected. Back then, Sarah Chen and two colleagues were troubleshooting virtualization issues at their day jobs and realized how much practical knowledge was missing from traditional computer science education.
The first courses focused heavily on RVTools – that indispensable utility for VMware infrastructure analysis. Students kept asking for more hands-on experience with real virtualization scenarios, not just theoretical concepts. We listened and built our entire teaching philosophy around practical application.
Early Focus Areas
- VMware RVTools mastery and infrastructure analysis
- Python automation for virtualization tasks
- Small group mentoring with 8-12 students per cohort
- Weekend workshops held in borrowed conference rooms
Expansion and Recognition
By 2022, word-of-mouth recommendations drove enrollment beyond our capacity. Students were landing jobs specifically because they could demonstrate practical virtualization skills – particularly with RVTools reporting and VMware optimization techniques that most bootcamps skip entirely.
We expanded our curriculum to include containerization, cloud migration strategies, and advanced programming languages. The waiting list hit 200+ people, so we knew it was time to scale properly while maintaining the personalized attention that made our approach effective.
Looking Forward
This year marks a turning point as we launch our most comprehensive program yet. The curriculum now includes advanced RVTools techniques, infrastructure automation, and emerging virtualization technologies that weren't even on our radar in 2019.
We're particularly excited about our new mentorship model where experienced graduates work directly with current students on real client projects. It's that blend of practical application and community support that keeps drawing people to our programs.
